I am probably the only Tortoise Trust approved breeder on the Internet. All tortoises are guaranteed to have been bred by myself. Guidance notes and individual CITES certificates are supplied. Telephone help-line for inexperienced keepers. Only british bred Hermann’s tortoises are recommended for beginners. WARNING Where dealers and pet shops are offering tortoises described as 2 or 3 years old, these are usually wild caught animals with CITES paperwork obtained fraudulently in the E.C. Most are in a very poor state of health. Be careful! There are many dealers on the internet pretending to be breeders. It is like buying a dog form a ‘puppy farm’. If in doubt contact the Tortoise Trust. Other net sites offering tortoises are operated by dealers and pet shops. Self evidently they are interested in pound notes, not tortoises or purchasers thereof. Buy in haste – repent at leisure!
